Edinburgh Castle and Old Town, taken from the National Museum of Scotland. Thomas PRINGLE and John Christopher FRANZ lived in Edinburgh, and Alexander BIGGAR was stationed here between 1810 and 1812. Alexander RENNIE married Elizabeth BROWN in Edinburgh, as did Thomas PRINGLE and Margaret BROWN, and Francis BUCHAN and Martha SYDSERFF (parents of Charles Jervis BUCHAN-SYDSERFF). According to his Death Notice, William CHADWICK was born in Edinburgh.
