Die Storm: Sir Harry Smith het in die omgewing van Colenso op hierdie toneel afgekom na 'n storm en die ellende in sy dagboek beskryf.

Facing the elements in the open. Strong winds tearing the fragile tents on the wagons to pieces, thunder, possibly hail stones hurting the animals, and rain getting into every nook and cranny - these were some of the things the Trekkers had to withstand.<br />Date: 13. Bloukransmoord: Op middernag 17 Feb 1838 vind die aanval plaas terwyl die mans weg was met hul sending na Dingaan. Ongeveer 532 mense word vermoor langs die Bloukransrivier, Moordspruit en Boesmanrivier.
