James CORDEN and Sarah ROWLEY of Stoke were married by banns on 17th February 1795 in St.Bartholomew, Norton-in-the-Moors, Staffordshire

Rhuport [sic] son of James and Sarah CORDIN was born April 5 and christened April 14 1805 in Tissington, Derbyshire

 

James moved to Ipstones, Staffordshire and died there in 1843 (he appears on the 1841 census), which explains how Rupert came to work for John CARLISLE
