My Lord,
Having made two unsuccessful applications to your Lordship stating my wish to embark to Canada I again most earnestly solicit your Lordship to be one of the number that may be chosen to go to the Cape of Good Hope accompanied by my family which consists of a wife & five children. I am by trade a wheelwright & smith.
Your Lordships denial is the only obstacle that stands in the way as I could make it convenient to embark at the shortest notice.
Your Lordships most obedient humble serv't
John MARLIN
