Leeds, St.Peter's Church. This 1896 drawing shows the original St.Peter's Parish Church, which was pulled down in 1838. Its replacement, consecrated in 1841, is now Leeds Minster. William BEALE and Mary POE were married in St.Peter's, as were Charles COCKCROFT and Harriet BAILEY, Thomas ROBERTS and Bathsheba RAYNER (parents of the settler Edward ROBERTS), and Thomas SIMPSON and Ann SHEPHERD. William, son of Francis Parratt BENTLEY, was baptised in St.Peter's, as were three children of Charles Collins CAMPBELL, three children of Charles COCKCROFT and four children of Jonathan WAINWRIGHT.
