Poulton Priory Lodge. The Gilbertine Priory of St.Mary at Poulton was founded as a chantry chapel in 1337, and after the Dissolution of the Monasteries was used as the parish church. The church was demolished in 1873. John, son of Edward and Ann GUEST, was baptised in Poulton.
