Cheriton, St.Martin 1.  Edward AMES (AMOS) and Elizabeth TAYLOR (later Elizabeth BOWLES) were married in this church. Very little of Cheriton village remains as it is now a suburb of Folkstone and is the UK end of the Channel Tunnel.
