Gravesend, St.George's

Gravesend, St.George's, with the statue to Pocahontas, who was buried in the church. The church was rebuilt following a disastrous fire which swept through the old town of Gravesend in 1727. The chancel was rebuilt in 1892, so only the tower remains of the church where Mary Ann RAWLINS, wife of Thomas MILLER of MANDY's Party, was baptised in 1794.
