Dunston, St.Remigius 2. 
Stephen SMITH was baptised in this church in 1791. His father, also Stephen SMITH, married his first wife Sarah FISKE here in 1787, and the parish registers list Sarah as Stephen’s mother, but she actually died in childbirth in March 1790 and Stephen the settler was the son of the second wife, Mary MEEN, whom his father married in Stoke Holy Cross in August 1790.
