MI on the floor of the chancel in St.Andrew's Church, Lammas, reads:

Sacred to the Memory of
Thomas DAMANT, Gent,
Who died February 2nd 1762
In the 44th Year of his Age
Also Mary his Wife
Who Died March 6th 1778
Aged 66 Years.

Thomas DAMANT and Mary GUYBON were the grandparents of the settlers Edward and John DAMANT.
