Old Blacksmith's Shop, Gretna Green, the traditional venue for elopements. The building dates from ca 1754. It is said that Sampson DANIEL eloped to Gretna Green with Amelia D'EGVILLE, although there is a possible marriage for Sampson in St.Cuthbert's, Edinburgh.
