Bramham, Red Lion Inn. Bramham is very close to Boston Spa and Clifford, the area where William THACKWRAY was brought up. William's sister Mary lived in nearby Thorp Arch, just over the River Wharfe, and his grandparents came from Clifford, the next village, so William may well have had a drink or two in the Red Lion.
