Cowthorpe, St.Michael. John THACKWRAY, an older brother of the settler William THACKWRAY, was baptised in St.Michael's on 29 March 1778 and buried here 18 days later. Cowthorpe is very close to Wetherby, where William and his sister Mary were baptised.
