Interior of St.Andrew's Church, George Street, completed in 1784 as part of the Edinburgh New Town. The church is notable for its elliptical plan, which was the first in Britain. Alexander RENNIE married Elizabeth BROWN in St.Andrew's, as did Francis BUCHAN and Martha SYDSERFF (parents of Charles Jervis BUCHAN-SYDSERFF). Charlotte, daughter of Alexander BIGGAR, was baptised here.
