St.Botolph without Aldgate Interior. The church was completely rebuilt in the 1740s. It was badly damaged during WW2 but restored. The church was one of four in medieval London dedicated to Saint Botolph, each of which stood by one of the gates to the City. The other three churches were St Botolph without Aldersgate, St Botolph without Billingsgate (destroyed by the Great Fire and not rebuilt) and St Botolph without Bishopsgate. William BOND and Martha ABRAHAM were married in this church, as were William BARRETT and Sarah HEATHER, William DENHAM and Sarah BUSWELL (William was also baptised here), Samuel John MOLLETT and Elizabeth Ann JENKINS, Robert PIRIE and Elizabeth BOOTH, William Henry SURMON and Louisa HATT (William Henry was also baptised here and was born in the adjacent Minories), Thomas WELLS and Sarah LAMBOURTH and Thomas WILLSON and Mary Ann INCE. Rebecca Eliza, daughter of William and Elizabeth THOMAS, was baptised here.
