St.Botolph without Bishopsgate. The church was one of four in medieval London dedicated to Saint Botolph, each of which stood by one of the gates to the City. The other three churches were St Botolph without Aldersgate, St.Botolph without Aldgate and St Botolph without Billingsgate (destroyed by the Great Fire and not rebuilt). Robert GODLONTON and Mary Ann HEX were married in this church, as were John JARMAN and Mary JEFFERY (parents of the settler Thomas JARMAN of COCK's Party), Thomas ROBINSON and Mary DORRELL, and Benjamin ROSE and Dinah SCOTT (parents of the settler John ROSE). Richard PAINTER was baptised here, as was Martha HARDEN (daughter of William and Maria) and William Davis DONOVAN (son of Joseph and Susannah).
