St.Matthew, Bethnal Green. Jonathan AYLIFF and Esther RATHOM (parents of the settler John AYLIFF) were married in St.Matthew’s, as were Stephen DAY and Lydia WILKINSON (parents of John MANDY’s wife Mary Ann DAY), Joseph TURPIN and Mercy CHUBB and William WENTWORTH and Frances Maria PAICE. John AMES was baptised in this church, as were three children of James Edward FORD, three children of John HARE and Harriet Matilda PAINTER..
