Interior of St.Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square. The present church dates from 1724. Thomas BAINBRIDGE and Elizabeth HARMAN were married in this church, as were Samuel BONNIN and Ann WORRELL, Stephen BROWN and Sarah HILLMAN, Richard GOWAR and Mary DIPLOCK, Edward HEALY and Mary POWELL, Charles HILL and Elizabeth STEPHENS, George JENKINSON and Sarah ELLINGTON, Kemp KNOTT (aka William HARRISON) and Ann WEALKER, William LEE and Ann TOWNSEND, William PRYNN and Jane CLARK, Charles James SPILLER and Catherine MADDEN, John STUBBS and Ann CAMPBELL and John WYATT and Jane BAUGH. Joseph Edward WILMOT married both his wives, Ann ROUTLEDGE (1818) and Susannah RICHMOND (1819), in St.Martin's. Two children of Arthur and Sarah BARKER were baptised here, as were John Centlivres CHASE, Isabella (daughter of Peter Clarke DANIEL), Elizabeth (daughter of Joseph William GOODES), Thomas Samuel HOOD, William (son of William and Mary MUIRE) and five children of Daniel and Hannah ROBERTS. Several children of the actor John WHITFIELD were also baptised here, siblings of Charlotte WHITFIELD.
