Lee, St.Margaret's Church Tower. The current St.Margaret's Church in Lee was built in 1839-41, replacing a medieval church dating from the 12th century. All that remains of the church that would have been there in 1820 is the tower, which stands in the churchyard. Robert PIRIE and Mary Rachel HORN were married in St.Margaret's, as were Edward DRY and Clarissa Ann LEAPER, parents ofthe settler Thomas DRY.
