Walmer Castle, built during the reign of Henry VIII. Elizabeth ROGERS, wife of William ELLIOTT, presumably came from Walmer as they married in nearby St.Mary's Church. The HAYWARD brothers of MENEZES' Party also came from Walmer, as did William MENEZES himself at the time of his marriage in 1815.
