Lammas, Lammas with Little Hautbois Parish Church of St.Andrew Interior 1. William DAMANT and Elizabeth CASTELL, parents of the settlers Edward and John DAMANT, baptised all but the first of their children in this church. They are buried in the church and a memorial plaque is on the wall. There were DAMANTs in Lammas several generations back and the settlers named their estate at the Cape New Lammas in honour of their birthplace. The floor of the church has many memorial stones to the family.
