St.Andrew's Church, Lammas (Parish of Lammas with Little Hautbois) seen across the River Bure. William DAMANT and Elizabeth CASTELL, parents of the settlers Edward and John DAMANT,  baptised all but the eldest of their children in this church and are buried here. There were DAMANTs in Lammas several generations back and the settlers named their estate at the Cape New Lammas in honour of their birthplace.
