William BEALE of the Parish of Wakefield, Grocer, and Mary POE of this parish, spinster, were married by Licence in St.Peter's Church, Leeds on 16th February 1801

Both signed

Witnesses: Sarah POE, John CLARK, Thos. ATKINSON

 

Baptisms:

 

John Newhouse, son of William and Mary BEALE, was baptised on 12 February 1803 in All Saints, Wakefield.

Sarah, daughter of William and Mary BEALE was baptised on 20 Apri 1805 in All Saints, Wakefield

William, son of William and Mary BEALE was baptised on 18 May 1807 in All Saints, Wakefield

George, son of William and Mary BEALE, was baptised on 20 August 1809 in All Saints, Dewsbury

 

John Newhouse BEALE does not appear in the settler returns but his Death Notice (Cape Archives) shows that he went to the Cape.

Sarah BEALE does not appear in the settler returns but her Death Notice (Cape Archives) shows that she went to the Cape and married the settler William CORY.

 

Baptisms for Henry and Mary Ann not found.
