Loveday Ann was born in London in 1819 and was baptised at the Cape in 1820.

 

According to a descendant, William's sister Elizabeth was born on 27 March 1798 and died on 12 June 1868 at Kowie West, Port Alfred. The Cornwall OPC lists her marriage to Richard NICHOLAS, leather cutter,  on 9 May 1817 in St.Gluvias, Penryn, Cornwall. The witnesses were Thomas COCK and Charlotte TUCKER.
