Sir,
Having very much to my inconvenience been disappointed from joining those settlers which are at present on the point of proceeding to the Cape Colony, I beg leave to inform you that I have with much care selected some respectable friends (ten in number) who are desirous of proceeding to the Cape as settlers.
May I request to be informed if I may rely on the regular grant of land for the above number of persons, agreeable to the regulations of Government & also when the next fleet will take its departure for the Colony.
I have the honour to remain your obd humble sevt
Wm. BISS
