Frances was raised by her Grandmother on the family farm, Strandfontein in the Thornhill District of Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She was a housewife and always had a delicious meal for anyone who visited. She always baked her own scrumptious bread to keep the family well fed. She was a very strict Mum.
