ARMSTRONG: Killed on January 2nd, in road accident, John Bernard, loved youngest son of Bernard and Muriel ARMSTRONG, Uitenhage, aged 24 years and ex Fisrt Division.

FORTUIN. Died at the Provincial Hospital, on 3rd January, 1945, Annie FORTUIN, at the age of 39 years. The funeral will leave Jones and Rice Chapel, 43 Russell Road, this (Thursday) morning at 11 o’clock, for the North End Cemetery.

KORKIE. Died at 42 Wild Street, on the 3rd January, 1945, Elizabeth KORKIE, at the age at 62 years. The funeral will leave the above address this (Thursday) afternoon at 3 o’clock, For the North End Cemetery.

VAN ALSTINE . Passed away at New York, USA, December 25th, Jessie H. VAN ALSTINE, president of Ottis Elevator Company.

WASSMANN. Passed peacefully away at the Provincial Hospital, on 2nd January, 1945, August John Henry WASSMANN, in his 83rd year. Interred at Uitenhage.

MESSINA. – Passed peacefully away at 12 Windermere Road, on January 4th, Rosetta May, dearly beloved wife of R.G. MESSINA and beloved mother of Doreen VIENINGS and Hazel FORD. A service will be held in the Chapel of Jones and Rice, 43 Russell Road, at 10.45 a.m. on Saturday, thence the funeral will proceed to South End Cemetery.
