ABBOTT - On March 26, at Upper Norwood, S.E., Henry Abbott, of 66, Queen Street, Cannon Street, London, E.C., aged 72 years.

CLARKE - On the 1st inst., at The Lodge, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, suddenly, of pneumonia, Sir Marshal James Clarke, K.C.M.G., aged 68.
LEISHMAN - On February 28, at Uitenhage, Stuart Southey, only child of Oswald Stuart Leishman, Cape Mounted Police.
LIDDLE - On March 8, at New Modderfontein, Transvaal, Nurse Janet Liddle, aged 24, daughter of Alexander Liddle, and beloved sister of Mrs. Forrest Snow, late of Corstorphine.
SLADE - On March 2, at Wynberg, Hester Wilhelmina Slade (nee BOOYENS), in her 50th year.
SWIFT - On March 26, at Bedford, Ellen Plumer, widow of the late Rev. T. W. Swift, M. A. Oxon., of St. John's, Wynberg, Cape Town, and daughter of the late Rev. H. G. Stedman, M. A. Cantab., of Sandycroft, Great Budworth, Cheshire, aged 62.
TOWNSEND - On March 4, at Cape Town, Sarah Payne Townsend, widow of the late George Seaborne Townsend, of Namaqualand, aged 72 years.
TWEEDDALE - On March 13, after a long illness, William Alexander, last surviving son of James Tweeddale, M.D., Surgeon, R.N., and Margaret Dunbar Tweeddale, in his 85th year.
WEBB - On March 27, at 8, Lansdowne Place, Hove, Joseph Webb, F.R.C.S., third son of the late Thomas Webb, of Ledbury, banker, J.P., D.L., aged 92.
WEIR - On March 6, at Rhodesia, of acute malarial fever, Archibald Scott Weir, second son of the late William Weir, of Mount Pleasant, Gibraltar.

MCGUIRE - In loving memory of John Brown McGuire, aged 29 years, who died at Durban on March 31, 1903.

MRS. KOCH, SEN., a very old resident of Malmesury, widow of the late Christoffel Koch and mother of Mr. A. C. Koch, of the firm of Smuts and Koch, died recently at the age of 77 years.

MR. J. BRINK, of Verloren Vlei district, Ceres, recently handed to the police at Ceres a draft for 500 lire (L20) on an Italian bank, a passage ticket on a Union-Castle steamship; and a L5 deposit receipt, covering the immigration regulations into England. These were left with him about the time of the disappearance of an Italian named Gioacchino Toschani. The articles were sent to the Cape Town Police.

THE REV. F. J. ECCLESTONE has accepted the Congregational pastorate at Burghersdorp.

CURRIE -- On April 13, at the Manor House, Sidmouth, Sir Donald Currie, G.C.M.G., LL.D., of Garth and Glenlyon, in his 84th year. Funeral at Fortingal, Perthshire, on Tuesday, 20th April.

EARLY -- On March 6, at Gwanda, Rhodesia, Mary Agnes, beloved wife of W. K. Early, aged 39.
