The eGGSA Code of Conduct

As a member of eGGSA I will

  • 1. behave at all times with integrity;

  • 2. give proper credit for the intellectual property of others;

  • 3. respect the privacy of others;

  • 4. honour confidentiality of information;

  • 5. accept full responsibility for any genealogical work undertaken for myself or others;

  • 6. not seek personal advantage to the detriment of the Society and will actively seek to enhance the image of the Society;

  • 7. not engage in discriminatory practices in genealogical activities on any basis whatsoever;

  • 8. improve public understanding of genealogy and its consequences.
